TANGO for two!

If you haven't noticed or don't know - Dan and I have very little in common. He's conservative, I'm a flaming liberal. He's very religious, I'm sort of religious. He's quite, I can't shut up for five minutes straight. He also happens to be a traditionalist.
I couldn't be further from that.
If I can get my way, our first dance at our wedding will be...

It's just so much more original than just swaying from side to side on an empty dance floor.
I did get Dan to agree to dance lessons. Though he may be much more willing than I am.

1. Went grocery shopping. Have shampoo for the first time in four days. Must wash hair asap.


2. I think I need some of these flats. Aren't they the most whimsical fabulous colors ever?!

3. LOVE the top dress. But I want to twirl at my wedding. I'm weird.

4. This is as close to perfection as it will get for me. SO simple, and you know what? I like that. I'd much rather have people notice ME, not my gown! :)

5. I just got back from some warm vegan thai food. Thank you Erin and Karen! I needed that. My stomach was starting to feel lonely.

6. Dan is apparently coming to Seattle tomorrow. Which can only mean one thing for me. Tonight, I'll be cleaning the house.

7. Did you guys hear that quote from Kate Moss, "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels"? - well, I'd love to say leave her alone, it's just an expression. But you know what? She's in the public eye and some young girls look up to her. She's one of the shortest supermodels at just 5' 8 (or seven)....so she is a role model for many.
You cannot say shit like this. This is what reinforces eating disorders.
Also, I doubt God put us on this planet to eat two carrots, a leaf of spinach and an apple each day because we're worthless if we're not a size 4 or below. *LANGUAGE DISCLAIMER*
I say Fuck You to anyone who believes shit like this. If you're going to be a moron and believe that, fine. But don't brag about how it's your motto.
If I ever have a baby girl, I would be so crushed to know she thinks that way.
I would want her to love herself for being smart, funny and kind, not thin, tall and beautiful.

I absolutely love Olsen twins-anything. But the eyebrows...the thick perfect eyebrows...

They really can make or break a face. Hahaha..sounds so odd.
But if you have fierce eyebrows, you can look 10 times more confident. Because if they stand out, they can do what red lips do.

Coolest clock EVER

Story of my life. I feel like lately, I'm NEVER on time. Dan does this hilarious (just to me) thing where I tell him I'm ready and he doesn't even move from the couch because he knows it will be another 15 minutes AT LEAST. Ugh. Even my Italian teacher has accepted I'm just always late at everything. What happened Irene? You used to be so good!

Holiday Makeup Ideas

This Christmas I'll be all about color and glitter. Dan and I already plan on dressing up every night we go caroling (all five days before Christmas), he's wearing a Santa hat, I'm putting some sparkly holly in my hair...we'll be so festive!
Nothing like some bright shadows to bring cheer to an outfit!


Sephora has extreme ideas, to say the least, haha...but I like this. It looks like candy!
